About Penny Lane Mall
Just off Rehoboth Avenue and a short stroll from the famous Boardwalk, Penny Lane Mall is one of Rehoboth Beach's most beloved hidden gems. This isn't a typical indoor shopping mall — it's a charming, landscaped outdoor promenade of small independent shops and eateries that feels more like a stroll through a European side street than a Delaware beach town.
The lane is lined with carefully tended plants and flowers, and at the midpoint stands an old-style post clock that has become something of a landmark in its own right. The atmosphere is relaxed, unhurried, and genuinely delightful — the kind of place you stumble upon and then make a point of returning to every visit.
The shops celebrate local and independent businesses. Art galleries showcase original work, jewelry stores carry handcrafted pieces, and gift shops are filled with items you simply won't find anywhere else. Stores like the Sunglass Company and Electric Fish sit alongside lighting shops and a bottle shop. Archie's Ice Cream is a perennial favorite with visitors of all ages. A crepe stand draws its own devoted following — guests specifically call out the crepes as "delicious." And Cafe Papillon offers outdoor patio seating during weekends and beach season, making it a perfect stop to sit, eat, and watch the world stroll by.
Penny Lane Mall is a strong supporter of local artists and artisans. The handmade and one-of-a-kind items found here make it one of the best spots in all of Rehoboth Beach for unique gift shopping. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning regular, a walk down Penny Lane is simply one of the best ways to spend an afternoon at the Delaware shore.

This is a cute little lane with some nice shops and restaurants. It reminds me of a street in a European city. A gem in the middle of Rehoboth. My friends and I stumbled upon this spot and checked all the shops out — we found some very interesting things. The store owners are all so friendly. Loved the crepes sold at the small stand. They were delicious!
